Terms of use

Short, because the important part is a single limitation and it deserves to be read rather than buried.

A clean check is not a guarantee

This is the term that matters. Labelproof reads your ZPL and tells you what it can prove is wrong. It cannot tell you a label will scan.

It does not produce an ISO/IEC 15416 print-quality grade. That measures a physical printed symbol with a conforming verifier, and no amount of source inspection substitutes for it. A label can pass all 43 checks and still fail at a scanner because of the ribbon, the media, the printhead, the label stock, or the angle it is read at.

Use Labelproof to catch what it catches. Keep verifying physical labels the way you already do.

The service

Acceptable use

Do not use the service to attack it or anyone else: no attempts to exhaust capacity beyond your published limits, no probing for vulnerabilities without asking us first, no reselling access except on a tier that permits it.

Only submit labels you are entitled to submit. If a label contains someone else’s personal data, you are the one responsible for having a basis to process it.

Your content

Your labels remain yours. We claim no rights over them and do not use them to train anything. What we keep, and for how long, is set out in full on the privacy page.

Self-hosted licences

A self-hosted licence permits one installation for the licensed organisation, for the term of the licence. It does not permit redistribution.

An expired licence does not stop the software. It warns, and keeps running. Your parcels ship tonight; a lapsed card is not a reason to halt a production line. We will chase a renewal with an invoice, not a kill switch.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the preceding twelve months. Given the first section of this page, please do not build a process that depends on Labelproof being infallible.
